A MissoniHome Lifestyle from Century Properties

The first residential building in the world that will bear the creative and colorful mark of MissoniHome will rise in Manila in the 52-storey Acqua Livingstone, the fourth of six condominium towers in the P13.5-billion Acqua Private Residences project, developed by Century Properties Group, Inc.

Following its design collaboration announcement with MissoniHome in August 2011, Century Properties through its subsidiary Century Limitless Corporation launched Acqua Livingstone after the successful sellout of the first three Acqua towers: the 43-storey Niagra, the 45-storey Sutherland and the 47-storey Dettifoss to local and foreign buyers, in just 12 months.

The Acqua Livingstone tower will afford residents a rich and colorful experience of a MissoniHome-designed space, which is not available elsewhere except in the Missoni-branded hotels in Edinburgh and Kuwait.

Missoni, founded in 1953 as a knitwear label in Italy by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, grew into a fashion empire run by three generations of the Missoni family. Globally recognized for its creative use of patterns and prints, Missoni earned the acclaim of the fashion world throughout the decades for elevating knitwear to an artistic form, and for its inventiveness and consistently progressive style.

In 1996 Rosita Missoni passed on the fashion reigns to daughter Angela and focused on designing for MissoniHome, a creative extension of the Missoni aesthetic in furniture, home accessories, and interior design. Produced and distributed by leading textile manufacturer T&J Vestor, the MissoniHome line was added to the company’s product range in 1983. T&J Vestor, a renowned homewear company since 1921, is run in partnership by the Torrani family and Alberto and Giampiero Jelmini, Rosita’s brothers. For the first time it will be possible at Acqua Livingstone,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Marco Antonio, who elaborated the tower’s design highlights: bold colors and energetic forms in the lobbies, hallways and even elevators, accentuated by equally arresting furniture. The multi-level amenity area called The Canopy, located at the building’s skydeck, serves as the pinnacle of MissoniHome’s design imprint.

The Canopy’s lower level will house functions rooms, business center, an indoor and outdoor gym, Jacuzzi, a library and spa. The upper level is a social space dedicated to interaction and entertainment with an amphitheatre, lounge, DJ booth and dance floor, pool with swim up bar, and barbecue facilities. Trying these two levels together is a fanciful organic wire-mesh tree that winds its way up and connects to the mezzanine floor, where residents can enjoy surrounding views or enjoy a meal in the open air dining area.

Acqua Livingstone will have 645 units, which are now offered at pre-selling prices of an average of P145,000 per square meter. Unit sizes range from 27-sq.m, to 140-sq.m and come in one to three bedrooms. A private collection of special units called Acqua Prive includes Townhouse, Sky Garden, Private Garden, and Penthouse units.

Aside from the amenities within the tower, Acqua Livingstone residents will also enjoy the tropical rainforest-infused design of the entire masterplanned development.
